Ogseo basics of seo

Basics of SEO

Nowadays, even the smallest company uses the Internet as a main tool in building a customer base, keeping in contact with their clients and this is also their most basic means of advertising.

Designing a company web site is cheap and effective, not to mention essential because the world wide web is the only medium that offers instantaneous information access to millions of users around the globe.

Any web developer worth his salt should know about search engine optimization or SEO.

This is the key towards building an effective web site that would get a lot of hits and visitors. A web site that nobody visits is useless so the challenge lies in leading Internet users to visit your web site.

Thus, your web site need to be "found" when users type in keywords in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, AOL and others.

Once a keyword relating to the products or services that you offer is keyed into a search engine, a direct link to your web site should emerge on top of the list.

You should employ search engine optimization techniques to lead traffic your way, and get more hits that would later on lead to more profit for your company, which is your goal in the first place.

Here are some tips on how you can make it to the top of the list of search engines, and use your SEO techniques to benefit your web site and your company:

1. If you have an existing web site and domain, just optimize the one that you currently have instead of purchasing a new domain.

It will take some time before your web site will show up in a particular search engine, like Google, so it better to use the one that you currently have instead of switching to a new one.

2. Know who your target audience is and aim for them.

If you are in the manufacturing industry and a user types in your product in a search engine, then you would immediately have your target right in front of you.

As soon as the user hits the Enter button or clicks on 'Search', then the person will be lead to your web site.

Make sure that your target market will get 'hooked' on your web site. Once the search engines show the link to your web site, their job is done.

What you should do next is to make sure that your visitor will not leave your web site without them trying out your products or services, or at least leaving some pertinent information so that you can contact them in the future for marketing and advertising purposes.

When hitting a particular target market, learn about their interests, location and age to have an idea of what you can offer them in return.

Also, you can somehow link their interests to your products and services.

3. Search for the right keyword.

You should be creative, persistent and flexible when looking for the keyword or keyword phrases to use in optimizing your web site.

Google and Yahoo offer some tools and tips on how you can come up with keywords that will yield results.

Do not settle for just one keyword. You can also vary the words and phrases that you use for each page on your web site so that you can have more hits.

4. Consider your target market when designing your web site.

The design itself would include the general theme of the web site. You should also pay attention to smaller details such as color and font style and size.

Make sure that the web site is user-friendly and do not forget to insert helpful articles, tips, hints and related links that can be shared to other users.

It is a good thing to have an option to send a link or an article to a friend, which will add more users and increase your client base.

There should also be various ways to browse through your web site, to fit each user.

A person might find it to difficult use the scroll down option so you should also provide hyperlinks which are accessible to them.

5. Concentrate on the web site content.

Regularly update the content of your web site so that old and new users can find something new when browsing through your site.

Make the content brief and precise. Writing a content which has more than 600 words will make the users lose interest, since most of them do not actually read but just skim through the text.

Strive to be the best and most comprehensive web site and you will make your mark when it comes to information about the products and services that you offer.

It helps a lot to pay attention to detail, too.

Finally, keeping your web site's content updated is a must.

Spread the word about your web site and use the basic search engine optimization techniques and you will surely gain positive results once users visit your web site.

  • Consignment stores, are commission-based. People bring in products for the store to sell on commission what doesnt sell is returned to the owner.

  • Thrift stores are often not for profit and get most of their goods via donations.

In comparing the two, thrift stores are typically more willing (and able) to bargain with you simply because they have more room to do so.

Online retailers sometimes feel that these types of resale stores are not a good place to find inventory because theres not enough of a profit margin. But author Kate Holmes, founder of Too Good To Be Threw (), disagrees. Holmes asserts, "These stores have a very limited market. If nobody in their town happens to want to buy a pair of Jodhpurs that week, those Jodhpurs will be sitting there waiting for an ebay seller to snap them up. The end result can be amazing deals on quality items with an online demand.

In addition to a narrow market, Holmes also cites restricted space as a factor in second-hand stores bargain pricing. She points out, "They only have so much space, so they can only carry so many things. If they can move an item on and bring something else in, theyre pleased with that.

3 Rules of Sourcing Products in Thrift and Consignment Shops:

1. Shop the Edges. Even resale stores tend to carry certain types of products. What doesnt fit a shops profile, they usually want to move out quickly. They tend to put these products around the stores edges, so start there.

2. Shop Often. These stores are constantly turning over product and bringing in new items, so dont let a dry trip or two discourage you. Your persistence can pay off in a big way.

3. Cultivate Relationships with Shopkeepers. If they like you, theyll be much more willing to give you deals. They may also be more willing to set things aside for you, if they know what youre looking for, and guide you to items you might have otherwise missed.

If youre just starting out, a good place to find resale stores is in the Yellow Pages, under either consignment or thrift. Dont be afraid to ask shopkeepers if they know of other stores in the area if they dont have what youre looking for, theyll usually be happy to refer you to someone they think might.

In the new world of warcraft expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, players are able to choose from two new races. One of those new races is the blue-skinned Draenei, magic users of the highest caliber.

The Draenei are a race for the Alliance, pitting themselves against the merciless Horde. They are an ancient race, their origins dating back almost twenty five thousand years. They are derived from the Eredar, whom Sargeras coveted because of their powerful magic abilities.

Having been tempted by his offer to join his demonic horde, the leaders of the Eredar refused this destroyer of worlds. Sargeras was too powerful to face directly in open battle so those not willing to throw their lives away and join him were given the chance to go into exile. They renamed themselves the Draenei.

The Alliance race Draenei were chased and hunted for many thousands of years by the Legion. Hiding in their refuge far from their homeland, they were attacked by the orcs. The mighty demon lord that hunted them corrupted the orcs and made them fight the Draenei. This horde became his instrument of revenge and torture.

In the game of WOW: Burning Crusade, the Alliance race Draenei has six classes available to them. First is the Warrior, a primary melee combatant. The warrior is the tank of the party, the one able to withstand the most punishment and can also deal out a great amount of pain to the enemy.

Next is the Paladin, a warrior for good that also has some minor healing ability. This class can back up the Warrior in hand-to-hand fighting or heal and protect everyone in the party.

Another class is called the Hunter. The Hunter attacks foes from a distance using a variety of long range weapons like bows or black powder instruments. They are woodsmen and gatherers. Hunters have a huge advantage over other fighters by inflicting damage from far away.

The next class available to Draenei players is the Priest. Priests are very important for any party because of their powerful ability to heal and resurrect fallen warriors. Battling in the World of Warcraft massively multiple player game wont go so well if your character is dead. Priests can heal the fighters to get them back in the action fast.

A Shaman is a mystical practitioner of magic that draws power from the elements using totems and spells. They are spiritual leaders and are considered a solid hybrid in this expansion pack for WOW.

The final available class for the Draenei is the Mage, the primary magic users of any party. The Mage is a great class for those that wish to play the game alone as they can summon powerful creatures to do their bidding for them. Mages cast offensive spells that can disrupt and damage the enemy.

When we decide to operate a business from home if we are living alone we are guaranteed peace and quiet all of the time. All the things that can distract us are easily controllable e.g. the telephone with those pesky telemarketers, our well meaning friends and family even ourselves, yes, I mean us, we could become our own worst enemy.

In my case, I am a new internet marketer, and I mean new, so the challenges are great. I have to learn to regulate my eating habits and to keep the phone on mute. I am also learning that I have to be deliberate with making time for physical exercise and the greatest and most important, I am learning that I have to be deliberate in making time for my God. Yes my God.

Prior to becoming an Internet marketer, my times for my conversations with God were set in stone, they were precise and routine. I became a marketer and I realize that it was easy for me to become so excited an rapped up in the crazy shenanigans of the World Wide Web that a few important habits could be put on the back burner and thoughts like: Oh, I could talk to God as I work on this website, or as I write to a few link partners requesting links, or answering the request for links to cultivate my linking strategies, God would understand.

I am realizing that, if I want to succeed, really succeed in this field, then God must be a priority not an after thought, not a thought to cultivate as I work, it must be the ultimate partnership. My conversations with God must be a doing and a being that must be engaged in with deliberation and perfect scheduling. I am not saying that I do forget God as I go through my daily routing because that is not possible. In fact I would say that it is impossible, as those of us who have a relationship with God would be able to attest to the fact that conversations with God are an ongoing process regardless of time and place. What I am saying is that a partnership with God should be deliberately cultivate and not haphazardly stumbled into.

Things change rapidly in the world of internet marketing. Everyday there is something new, a new e-book on a certain topic that attest to be better than any one of its predecessors. A new SEO tool that claims it will get you indexed into Google, Yahoo, Msn or any one of the many search engines that are on the World Wide Web today, it will get you indexed in less than a day. I am not saying that some of these things are not true but do we, any new marketer know which one is?

Good relationships are of maximum importance for our healthy existence on the internet today. If we do not want to be hurt financially, emotionally, mentally or physically our
greatest relationship must be with God.

This relationship is of paramount importance because when we are in tune with God and I mean really in tune with God, I do not mean rendering lip service, I mean being able to sit down in quiet and being in the very presence of the living God. When we are there nothing else exists, there is no malice, no prejudices or hurt, there is a peace that passes all understanding. This is a place that a choice must be made to come out of. Thats what I am talking about, a profound relationship. When we have this relationship, we will find that there is inner guidance for out actions. For example, we will know just from reading an email, or a promotion, whether we should trust the person behind that email or promotion, this no longer becomes a struggle, pressing delete becomes an art form, we do it with out thinking, "I wonder if I should have checked out that offer", that is no longer a problem it is an act that is in direct relationship to our relationship with God.

We must also cultivate a relationship through email with a few marketers and we will have inner guidance on that These relationships will become an authority in the health and life of your Internet Marketing Online Business.

5 Questions Every Mom Should Ask About Paid Surveys

If you're reading this, you're probably looking for some extra money. You're willing to work but you want to be compensated for your time. You also want flexibility in your schedule. If this sounds like you, then paid surveys can be wonderful.

Paid surveys are perfect for stay at home mothers. Obviously the extra money will help with the bills. They can also be quite fun. Of course, since surveys can be done online, the schedule is up to you. You can take surveys when the baby is sleeping, when the kids are out, or while watching TV with the family. It is really up to you. You're in control.

To figure out if paid surveys are for you, it is important to ask the right questions. Below are the 5 questions moms should ask.

 1. Is it really possible to get paid for taking surveys online? Explain this!

Surveys are legitimate. They are real. As a mom, you can make money from your home taking surveys online. According to the research, there are at least 6-7 million companies that survey consumers. They pay you for your opinions. Ultimately, they do this to figure out how to sell their products and services. You are helping them do research and they are paying you for it.

 2. How much money can I earn? How many surveys can I take?

This is actually pretty simple. The amount of money you make is directly proportional to the effort you put in. In plain terms, the more surveys you take, the more you earn. Your monthly income will depend on what you do and how much time you spend. Some people are on top of the latest promotions and are in tune with the needs of marketing companies. They react quickly to survey requests. Based on the circumstances, it is possible to make $75 per hour or more for every hour, although this will vary. The key to maximizing you opportunities will be subscribing to a paid survey database.

 3. How do I know this is legitimate and that I'll get paid? Are there any guarantees?

Most paid survey and marketing research companies are legitimate. However, there are some scams. To find the best opportunities and to avoid scams, it is best to pay a small fee to join a paid survey database. They often offer many perks too, such as free ebooks on maximizing revenue and also form filling automation tools. Keep in mind that fraudulent companies will be quickly removed from the paid survey databases. If you surf for surveys on your own, one at a time, you're likely to encounter issues. That means you'll waste your time and energy. As a mother, you can't afford to waste what spare time you have!

 4. How often will I be paid? How often will I be paid? Exactly how am I paid?

The companies administering the survey will usually pay you directly. This is almost always done using checks. The delivery is usually done with postal mail. The more progressive companies understand the needs of mothers. They provide flexibility and pay via PayPal. Typically, you'll get paid every other week. In some cases, you might have to wait a full month. Be sure to pay attention.

 5. Why do paid survey databases charge a fee?

The simple answer is quality, safety and reputation. A small fee for subscription to a paid survey database will pay for itself in just a few days for active moms. The small fees also encourage serious applicants only. Consider it a screening process. This increases the quality of the database and increases the likelihood that companies will seek out the paid survey databases. It works better for everyone and actually drives up your chances for getting in on a good (high paying) survey. Some companies only work with a few paid survey databases, so again, your small subscription fee will give you better opportunities.

They are many opportunities out there for moms. With a little time and energy, and perhaps a small upfront investment for access to a paid survey database, you could be pulling down smart money every day.
